TOSCA edition
with Sean Tucker

29 JUNE - 6 JULY 2024

As creative people we are looking for inspiration.

But we often need to create space in our lives in order to hear from the quiet voices of the Muses. It’s only when we step out of daily life, and the busy-ness we’re all engaged in, that we can quiet our minds and make space for new ideas to flow. On this retreat we will guide you in how to journal, give you feedback on your work so far, workshop creative resistances and even help you get to know yourself better so that through self awareness your creative output comes from a more congruent place.

Our Italian home away from home is a historic country estate, situated in a picturesque landscape of unique wild beauty. House and nature melt into harmony radiating the golden light of Tuscany. Amidst vineyards, fields of lavender, olive groves and idyllic hills you are given an ideal environment to boost your creativity and enjoy the perfect holiday retreat.

There will be a plethora of activities to get involved with. A few of the highlights include:

  • Workshops and sessions - more details to follow

  • Daily morning yoga practice with journalling and time to reflect

  • Excursions to beautiful local Tuscan town(s), including opportunities for a street photography workshop

  • Optional morning runs through the stunning countryside, HIIT guided condition training outdoors and in the gym, and hiking through the surrounding hills and forests.

  • Organic, locally grown food with options for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. All meals included and prepared by a local chef

  • Documentary screenings on photography, food and local culture

  • Swimming pool next to a lavender field and plenty of sun to bathe in and work on the tan

  • Open plan spaces and cosy outdoor nooks to spend time reading, relaxing, or making new connections

  • On site gyms

  • Massages and therapies

  • Wine tasting options

Imagine…

Waking up refreshed with the birdsong and the morning Tuscan sun rising over the surrounding hills. After your morning hot drink, you take a walk around the lavender field or write your morning pages before you quietly make your way to the yoga room for morning practice; gentle yoga or qi gong and breathwork centre you for the day. Towards the end of the practice you get to relax fully and do some journaling if that is part of your morning routine.

You dive into a substantial Italian breakfast, after which maybe you relax by the pool, have a massage, or join a group workshop before al fresco lunch. On the days when we visit historic local towns for some street photography oportunities, we'll leave just after breakfast. A nap after lunch is highly recommended, followed by a few hours where you can relax again, find a nook around the state and read, chat to your hosts, go to the gym, or whatever you feel that you need to do.

In the evening there’s time to refresh, get dressed for dinner and enjoy making new friends and connections with local organic food under the softly setting sun and gentle breeze. Bed time is up to you; perhaps turning in early to read or journal, or perhaps enjoying how conversation and friendships are formed into the late evening.

The estate has been completely renovated and refurbished, retaining its magical authenticity and empathy with nature, to offer guests a tasteful and relaxing ambience where new stories may be written. Each room has been individually styled, paying attention to colour, harmony and balance with the environment. All rooms are en-suite or shared friend/family suites, with free WiFi, desk where you can journal and write in peace, and fans to keep you cool during siesta.
